Did you ever hear about the miner's trapped in Shepton for 14 days back in the 1960's?

They claimed to have been visited by (then recently deceased) Pope John XXIII, who stayed w/ them until they were rescued.

Beati Ioannes, Ora Pro Nobis

"Miner's life is like a sailor's
take a trip to cross the waves
every day, his life's in danger
still he ventures being brave.

Watch the rocks
they're fallin' daily.
careless miners always fail.
keep you hand upon the dollar
and your eyes upon the scale

Union miners stick together
they don't heed no operator's tale.
keep you hand upon the dollar
and your eyes upon the scale."

-want the chords? it's in "G"

I'm not familiar with the story of those miners or the song. I will have to have you play it for me sometime.

I can only hope these poor miners had some similar comfort in their last hours.
